worst decisions you’ve made? If you really give yourself the benefit of forgiveness, it is actually pretty easy to see how your mistakes make you into something greater. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could learn lessons without the risk and subsequent consequence that brought us the learning? I’m certainly not quite that good at playing out scenarios and I’m pretty sure that some of my decisions that went right would have been nixed if I had attempted my mental experiment. I can understand that in situations that someone else was harmed it can be hard to forgive yourself. I’ve been there. But there too, the opportunity to dig within and empathize and change patterns of reaction is a tremendously powerful experience that not only makes you better, but makes those around you better for witnessing your own transformation.
